Lawyers from our Montreal, New York and Dallas offices advised the National Bank of Canada, as agent, in the financing of Power Sustainable Capital Inc.’s C$1bn Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Partnership, an investment platform dedicated to developing North America’s renewable energy sector.

Lenders provided a capital call facility as well as an LC issuing facility. Financing commitments were undisclosed.

The Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Partnership will invest in the development, construction, financing and operation of renewable energy projects throughout North America and is the latest effort by the company aimed at fighting climate change.

Green energy has been an ongoing focus for North America as governments strive to minimize the levels of greenhouse gases emitted by pursuing domestic and international decarbonization plans. The launch of the Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Partnership will aid in transitioning North America into a sustainable, low-carbon global economy.
